Silverwood Elementary PTA needs YOU!

Being part of the PTA Board is a great way to contribute to Silverwood Elementary School. We will be losing some key members of our PTA Board this upcoming school year and we need to look for new members to help make the magic happen!

Experience isn’t necessary. Free training and support are provided by the previous PTA President and the rest of the PTA members.

President
● Preside at all meetings of the association.
● Coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the association.
● Represent the Local PTA as a delegate to the Council PTA.

Potential candidates for president should be: comfortable speaking in public, diplomatic, well organized and eager to work with different types of people to achieve the PTA mission – make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Vice President
Each PTA must have at least one vice president to serve as Aide to the President.

VP, Fundraising
● Work with Board to determine amount of money needed to meet annual goals.
● Evaluate potential fundraisers and present them to the board and membership for approval.
● Be familiar with the CA fundraising guideline.
● Coordinate PTA fundraiser(s).

Secretary
● Record the minutes of all meetings of the association.
● Maintain all records of the PTA
● Be responsible for meeting communications.
