The school year is officially underway, and our Skyhawk community has hit the ground soaring! The first week was filled with excitement, new friendships, and plenty of school spirit.
We had an amazing start to the school year with Skyhawk Day last Wednesday, August 5th! Families had the chance to reconnect, pick up important school information, and even meet our wonderful new principal, Principal Dwyer.
The PTA tables were buzzing with activity—sharing details about upcoming events, selling spirit wear, and providing general school info. We were also thrilled to welcome back our garden educator, Ms. Enjoli, and our fearless Walk n Roll Coordinator, Shawn Hall. Their enthusiasm for keeping our students active and connected with nature is always inspiring!
A huge thank you to our amazing staff, volunteers, and PTA members who made this day possible. Your time, energy, and creativity helped set the tone for a fantastic year ahead.
This week also marked the beginning of new routines, classroom activities, and a fresh year of learning adventures. Whether it was a kindergartener’s very first drop-off or a fifth grader’s confident stroll into their classroom, each moment reminded us of the special community we share here at Silverwood Elementary.
Let’s keep the momentum going! Stay tuned for updates on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved. Together, we’ll make this school year one to remember.
