National Principal’s Day 5/1/2025

At Silverwood, we believe a great school starts with great leadership—and we’re lucky to have one of the very best. On May 1st, National Principal Day, we’re honored to celebrate Mr. Burns, a truly exceptional leader who continues to make an incredible impact on our students, staff, and families every single day.

From the moment you step on campus, it’s clear that Mr. Burns sets the tone. His positive energy, compassion, and unwavering dedication to student success have created a culture of excellence, kindness, and collaboration. Whether he’s greeting students with a smile, supporting teachers with the tools they need to thrive, or working hand-in-hand with families, Mr. Burns leads with heart.

He doesn’t just manage a school—he builds a community. His support of the PTA has been nothing short of amazing. From partnering on events to sharing ideas for improvement, Mr. Burns is always engaged, always listening, and always striving to elevate every aspect of life at Silverwood.

To celebrate his contributions, Kris Kabata—1/3 of our beloved Grandma Dream Team—helped organize a heartfelt memory book filled with class messages and signatures from our students. It’s a small token of our deep appreciation for all Mr. Burns does to lift up our school.

Mr. Burns, thank you for being the kind of principal who makes a lasting difference—not just in academics, but in the lives and hearts of every student, teacher, and family at Silverwood. You are an integral part of our success, and we are so grateful for your leadership.

With gratitude,
The Silverwood PTA
